Nursery & Preschool Ministry

Vission: To Know, Grow and Show the love of Jesus.

Our goal is to support parents in their role of helping their children to learn and grow spiritually for we feel that our parents play the strongest role in helping guide their children down the path to discipleship. We invite parents to participate in all areas of children’s ministries. We welcome your ideas, your presence and your prayers as we minister together to “grow them up.”

Advice For Parents… at Worship

  • Sit near the front of the service, where children can see and feel included in what is happening.

  • If possible, seat children with adults between them.

  • Introduce your children to those sitting nearby.

  • Go through the bulletin, locating songs, readings and any special happenings.

  • Encourage children to participate in the offering by sharing their own money and by placing the family’s offering in the plate.

  • Children learn “worship etiquette” as they participate in worship. Feel free to whisper words of instruction and encouragement.

  • Remember it is difficult for a young child to sit still for long.

  • Enjoy holding your child on your lap or allow them to kneel and use the pew or chair as a desk.

  • Feel comfortable allowing your child to participate in the Sacrament of Holy Communion.

  • Nursery care for children ages 3 and under is available during all worship services.

  • Children ages 3-kindergarten will be dismissed for Children’s Church.

  • Children’s worship notes and bags are available at the front of the Sanctuary or near the Welcome Center of the Fellowship Hall.
